These hornbills are found in Kwazulu-Natal Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Mpumalanga, Botswana and northern Namibia. They forage on the ground or sometimes in trees. They are found as solitary birds, in pairs or in small groups. Yellow-billed Hornbills have a loud, harsh and sometimes trumpeting call. They eat fruit, seeds, insects, rodents, centipedes and scorpions.
